Field Note : One of the great things about landscape photography is setting out to capture one thing but experiencing so many surprises along the way and the joy of capturing the unexpected beauty we find. Limburg was one such place; deep in Bavaria it was a stop over en route to the Austrian Tyrol yet it was an absolute gem of a place. The perfectly maintained architecture rising high in narrow, medieval streets was hard to distill into a photograph and I found a combination of looking straight up at an odd angle was the best way to capture the feel of the place in a shot. timed to coincide with dusk the colours really emanate making it a strong image.
