Kent Coast

Kent has an incredible coastline; from marshes, wetlands and mudflats to soaring cliffs, sandy and shingle beaches. The history here is as rich as anywhere in the world; one can see the water where the Romans and William the Conqueror arrived, where the Spanish Armada, Drake's Golden Hind sailed and Nelson's fleet. All have passed by here, including Turner's Fighting Temeraire. And let's not forget also the Battle of Britain, fought in the skies overhead. To stand here is to stand at the heart of British history.
