Field Notes
Borrowdale has to be my favourite place in the Lake District. It's a close run thing with great Langdale; but I find a bit more variety and room for less obvious photographs so Borrowdale just edges it, for me. Exploring the eastern hillsides I found this view along the path framed nicely by the trees and the bold sky with the splashes of light filtering down just made the whole view a joy to experience. Finding snow on the peaks is also an added bonus, but in the years since this visit I've yet to find snow in autumn again so I've since reflected how my images from this trip have an extra rare wuality to them on account of this.
