Field Notes
The weather on the Isle of Harris varies much from dawn to dusk and here, at sunrise, heavy, moody weather rolled in from the Atlantic creating very enjoyable conditions for landscape photography. Borve is a beach and area facing north west and faces into whatever the Atlantic throws at it, making it endlessly enjoyable to experience with a camera. The idea here was to build the image from the bottom up using the fingers of rock and ever shifting sea to progress the eye up towards the distant mountains. The purpose of the image, however, was to illustrate the beautiful, soft but moody light and how it worked wel on this landscape.
