Field Notes
This shot was preceded by a remarkable period of light that changed more than any other in such a short space of time than I can remember. At the end, the lake went still and the heavy shifting clouds thinned extremely fast. I was quick to react though as I had been set up and in position all morning and felt tuned in to the landscape. I swiftly found a view on Ashness Jetty that took in the splendour of the scenery and the lovely cloudscape above opting for a panorama to emphasise the width of the scene. I often wonder if I'll see or experience anythig similar again. So far...not yet!
