Sometimes view points land on my lap, sometimes they require some hunting around for. The simplicity of the shot is no clue as to the difficulty of finding the location. Here, high on the cliffs above Dubrovnik, there is no rocket science to the composition; a nice elevated view offering a clear shot of the old town timed for the dusk light. However it took quite a bit of time, trawling up and down stair cases, along alleys and peering over walls trying to find a good, clear view unobstructed by wires, poles and other buildings. There's no quick fix to location searching, it's a case of using your feet and your eyes until you find what you are looking for.
