Field Notes
The strenuous, pre dawn hike up Loughrigg fell is not sommething I particularly enjoy; I don't mind the propsect of les than ideal light after an early dstart-that's par for the course, but incurring a hard climb too is an extra burden I could live without! On this occassion there were soe gorgeous conditions as mist and low cloud swirled around the Great Langdale valley, rolling up and won the mountainside on the breeze. I liked the pattern of light on the distant mountainside so I worked mysef into a position to best view it and used my telephoto to isolate the distant scene.
