Field Notes
It’s well known fact that a S shape in the land (or sea) scape often creates a sinuous path for the eye to travel along and through an image. So finding two joined together was a real bonus! As ever, the chance encounter with this distant scene was as much part of the fun as actually photographing it. It makes for a compelling image and one I find I keep looking at and wanting to return to despite its overall simplicity. Perhaps it has some X factor just for me which may, in part, be down to the chances of it being a unique scene unlikely to look the same again. However I hope that’s not the case as I would like to return and I can only wish that if I do that it doesn’t erode my pleasure of this original image.
