Field Notes
In the course of researching my book ‘Photographing Kent’ I found myself searching out corners of the County I probably would not have otherwise considered exploring. Mostly I drew a blank. But every so often I would find something new and interesting and this old tree hidden behind the brow of a hill near Acrise is just such a location. The tree sits apart from the rest making it ideal for photographing and a long exposure under the night sky has added some mood to the slowly shifting clouds. I enjoy photographing new scenes and offering others the information to go and create their own photos so I hope this tree attracts some more admirers before it breaks in the storms and vanishes forever.
