Field Notes
The sand in Luskentyre Bay contributes much to its overall beauty and when it's set beneath a glorious sky and passgae of light the contrast between the golden sand and the rouugh, imposing landscape and skyscape its an experience to relish. Arriving with little hope of any light, I set up with this rock in my foregound and wattched heavy clouds surge above me. Finally a break came thouugh and light flooded into thhe bay. I often think how the light feels intensified when it jets in throuugh a crack in the clouds; like a turbo charged beam of light! f16, 0.5secs, ISO 100 with a 16-35mm lens.
