Field Notes
In her book ‘Turner & the Sea’ the author identifies how Turner juxtaposed ‘storm’ and ‘calm’ brilliantly. Indeed, his paintings that capture these elements are breath taking and make for an exciting concept for photography. My watchful eye on the weather led me to this view of the north Kent coast and the calm, soft light combined with the explosive storm clouds above was impossible to ignore and something I feel Turner would have enjoyed capturing too.
